My personal journey:

My personal growth journey began as a closeted 13-year old in Raleigh, North Carolina. I was in the cafeteria of my middle school leading groups of my peers through “Boundary Breaking” conversations. We would sit in circles and ask probing questions of one another.

I quickly learned I could hide if I was facilitating.

From a young age, alongside the desire to hide was one to know myself more deeply and support others in doing the same.

For years, I sought teachers, therapists, guides, books that could help me understand a sometimes overpowering swirl of emotions and thoughts.

One day, that shifted with some darkness and loud music. And it wasn’t at a gay club! — a place where I’d searched for those answers for many years.

It was when I put on an eye mask, laid down, listened to the loud music playing all around me, and breathed. I was asked to let my breath “do the work.”

My inhales were focused. My exhales were full.

Once I surrendered, each new breath brought a new person into view: a 4th grade teacher, a middle school best friend, my recently deceased grandmother.

They joined hands as they entered. A circle of supporters formed around me. The circle slowly faded into a nest where I eventually fell.

I felt warm, nurturing, unconditional love.

It was at a time when I needed support and clarity. I was considering moving on in my career. I had just gotten into business school and I heard, "Wait, there's good things coming."

I was having a hard time trusting love. I saw a vision of my partner and I building a home together filled with sunlight and spaces to build community.

Light streamed in. I was finally connected to an unending source of support symbolized by a circle of supporters — a deep love for myself.

I cried and I cried. Fear moved out of my body.

Fear of being seen in my relationship, fear of facing my parents and letting them truly know me, fear of sharing my gifts through my work, and fear of leaving behind what was comfortable and no longer serving me.

Breathwork made true a statement that I'd rolled my eyes at for years:

"All the answers are within you."

It finally gave me the tools to find those answers.

The self-healing nature of this practice cleared away years of self-doubt, anxiety, and insecurity. The daily ritual of Breathwork awakened me to myself and my purpose — supporting others as they tap into the infinite wisdom of their own bodies to heal themselves.

I healed relationships with my family, my partner, and most importantly - myself. I faced a limiting belief that had obscured much my adult life, a belief that I wasn’t deserving of love.

Breathwork supported me as I went in and it can do the same for you.

It reminded me that everything I was seeking out there was right in here (and available in infinite quantities). Support, love, affirmation, control, approval…were all waiting within.

I believe Breathwork allows us to heal ourselves, so that we can heal our relationships, our surroundings, and ultimately the world.

A teacher by trade, I’m eager to share the gift of Breathwork, Coaching and the Enneagram with new clients.

I specialize in supporting educators and LGBTQ+ individuals. I welcome all individuals and couples committed to their own growth.
